Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of DreamsComeTrue(the “Service”), accessible at dreamscometrue.ai. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to be bound by them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2. What we do

We create personalised children’s books. You provide a child’s name, age, and optionally a reference photo; we generate a story and illustrations starring that child, print the book, and ship it to you.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or place an order. The Service is not intended for use by children directly.

You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at hello@dreamscometrue.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Your content & rights you grant us

When you provide a child’s name, age, or reference photo (“Your Content”), you confirm that:

• You are the parent or legal guardian of the child, or have permission from them.
• You have the right to upload any photo you provide.
• The content is not unlawful, hateful, sexual, or otherwise harmful.

You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it solely for the purpose of producing, printing, shipping, and supporting the book you ordered (including storing it with the processors listed in our Privacy Policy). We will not use Your Content for advertising, model training, or any unrelated purpose.

5. Our content

The finished book — its story text, illustrations, layout, and design — is created by us using a combination of authored templates and AI image generation. We grant you a personal, non-commercial licence to read, share within your household, and gift the book. Reselling, mass reproduction, or commercial use of the book is not permitted without our written permission.

The DreamsComeTrue name, logo, and website design are our intellectual property.

6. Orders, pricing, and payment

Prices are shown at checkout in the currency offered to you and include applicable taxes where required. Shipping fees are calculated based on destination.

Payment is handled by Stripe. By placing an order you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge the chosen payment method for the full order amount, including shipping and any applicable taxes.

An order becomes binding once we send you an order confirmation. Until then we may refuse or cancel an order at our discretion (for example, if a product is mispriced, out of stock, or the content violates these terms).

7. Production, shipping & delivery

Each book is made to order. Production typically begins shortly after you approve the proof. Delivery times depend on destination and shipping method and are estimates, not guarantees. Title and risk of loss pass to you once the package is delivered to the address you provided.

If a package is lost in transit, arrives damaged, or is misprinted by our supplier, contact us at hello@dreamscometrue.ai within 14 days of delivery and we will arrange a free reprint or a refund.

8. Refunds & cancellations

Because each book is personalised and made to order, the EU/UK statutory 14-day cooling-off period does not apply once production has begun (Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(c); UK Consumer Contracts Regulations).

• Before production starts — you can cancel for a full refund. Just email us.
• After production starts — refunds are case-by-case, generally limited to defects (damage on arrival, wrong book, print quality issue, lost in transit).
• Buyer’s remorse — we may offer a partial refund or store credit at our discretion; not guaranteed.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload photos or content depicting anyone other than the child the book is for, or content you don’t have the rights to.
• Upload sexual, violent, hateful, or unlawful content.
• Use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm anyone.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.
• Use the Service to generate content that violates third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice. We may also refuse to print or ship any book whose content we judge to be unacceptable.

10. AI-generated content

Illustrations and parts of the story are generated by AI models. While we work hard on quality, AI output can occasionally contain unexpected artefacts. The proof-review step before printing exists so you can ask us to regenerate any spread you’re not happy with before the book is printed.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly given in these terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law (such as liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any statutory consumer rights you have as a consumer).

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

13. Termination

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing hello@dreamscometrue.ai. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive termination.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or a prominent banner. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law
